Tracking

How do I track my shipment?

Enter your tracking number in the search box on the homepage or on the Track page. The results show every scan along the route and the current estimated delivery date.

Where do I find my tracking number?

It's in your shipping confirmation email, near the top. Every Sterling Express tracking number begins with the letters SE followed by ten characters.

How often is the tracking updated?

Every time your package is scanned — at pickup, at each transfer point, on arrival at the destination depot, and on delivery. Most shipments see 4–8 updates along the route.

My tracking hasn't updated in a while. What should I do?

It's normal for a shipment in transit between depots to go several hours without a new scan, particularly on long-haul routes. If it's been more than 24 hours without an update, contact support with your tracking number.

Shipping

What services do you offer?

Three: Express (24–48 hour delivery by air and dedicated road), Standard (3–5 business day ground and sea freight), and Freight (bulk and palletised cargo with custom routing).

What can't you ship?

We don't carry hazardous materials, live animals, perishable food without prior arrangement, or anything prohibited by the customs regulations of the origin or destination country.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — across three continents. International shipments include customs documentation support, but you're responsible for any duties or taxes imposed at the destination.

Delivery & delays

What happens if my shipment is delayed?

You'll see a delay in the tracking timeline as soon as we know about it. If the delay is significant, we'll email you proactively with an updated estimate and the reason.

What does 'Out for delivery' mean?

It means the package is on the final delivery vehicle and will be delivered that day. You should expect it within the delivery window shown on your tracking page.

What if I'm not home when delivery is attempted?

The courier will attempt delivery up to two more times, typically on consecutive business days. After the final attempt the shipment is held at your local depot for collection.

Returns & claims

How do I claim for a lost or damaged shipment?

Contact support within 14 days of the expected delivery date. We'll open a claim and investigate with the carrier. Standard insurance covers up to $100; higher coverage is available at booking.

Can I change the delivery address after shipping?

Sometimes. If the shipment hasn't left the origin depot, yes. Once it's in transit it depends on the carrier and route. Contact support as soon as possible with your tracking number.

How long do you keep tracking data?

Full scan history is retained for 90 days after delivery, after which the shipment record is archived. Tracking numbers remain searchable during that window.
